nothing. having invaders enter a boss area would make the fight highly unfair, and waiting for them to finish would leave them on low health, so anything after that is unfair too. they probably could've made it so that the player and the invader both can't enter the boss room, but i guess it was intended to be a "safe area", even though the player faces an equally tough opponent either way
"An equal tough opponent"
*Host enters to Crystal Sage boss room.*
If host managed to get there - invasion is lost, you go home.
Why it doesn't let me to wait for him to kill the boss? :/ There it is. The quote from a Steam user:
"Mad Phantoms/Mound Makers give you a Shackled Column upon defeat of a boss (whether you are the Host, or the Mound Maker). If you collect all the Shackled Columns in the game (Mad Phantom co-op victory on every boss), then you can turn them in at the Covenant altar in the Pit of Hollows for a Titanite Slab." He says that you get the reward from the boss kills as a phantom.
The proper question should be "Why would?" Because I'm a mad phantom? I can either help him or try to kill him. Simple. So I'm supposed to either help him or try to kill him when the host is fighting a boss.
Yeah, it makes sense. You can't wait for them to kill the boss. Because then it would leave them on low health without even an Estus Flask. Nope, it's not equally tough opponent. You can face to anybody. It can be KL 10 or it can be KL 500 as the people say. So which item makes mobs to attack invaders too and about how much it lasts? Because the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ invader went to mobs which have prevented me to attack him safely.
lol Crystal Sage is an ez boss.
Yes, I know how the invading system works. It was same with DS2. But in DS2 there weren't mad phantoms iirc. But in DS3 you can either help them or try to kill them. So letting them to enter the boss room with you makes sense. But yeah since there's a risk that they would try to kill you it would be stupid to let them enter to the boss room with you.
Yes, but as I have already stated in op he didn't go into the boss room which everybody misunderstood. XD
Mad Phantoms/Purples don't help hosts kill bosses, they get a Vertebra Shackle for killing the Host or at least one phantom or dark spirit.
If the host slaps around the old lady who gives the way of blue covenant, they can trigger the Dancer boss fight early, it's one of the game's only sequence breaks.
How come? If you're a Mound-Maker there's no way you could put a white summon sign.
That old lady is called Emma, she's sitting alone in that room across from the Vordt boss fight. When you defeat Aldrich, Yhorm and the Abyss Watchers you're teleported to her and she'll die, giving you an item that you need to progress, this will initiate the boss fight in that room. However, you can also kill her for it and trigger the Dancer boss fight early. If you're brave & skilled enough you can actually beat this boss and get access to mid/late game stuff when, technically, you're not yet supposed to.
About Mound Makers. Yes, they can place a white summon sign. The host is taking a risk here, because unlike a regular white phantom or Warrior of Sunlight, a Mound Maker can also attack the host and potentially turn on them at any moment. They cannot, as far as I know, join a host in a boss fight. A good example is Hodrick, whose sign is not far from the Crucifixion Woods bonfire. He will help defeat enemies, but if you're alone with him, he will attack you too. That's why the game warns you that you're about to summon a mad spirit and asks you to confirm an extra time.
HOW?! PLEASE TELL ME THAT!!! Hey, wait. You're talking about the purple summon sign not the white one. :/ Who is Hodrick? Nope. The game asks you to confirm if you wanna summon him when you just gonna summon them.
Let me put it this way: a Mound-Maker can use the White Sign Soapstone (that's what I meant by white summon sign, apologies if that wasn't clear). The sign will, of course, be coloured purple, so that the host knows that they are about to summon a Mound-Maker (just like a Warrior of Sunlight's sign is gold). The summoned phantom can help the host but also kill them (that's kinda the point of the covenant).
Holy Knight Hodrick is the guy who gives you the Mound-Maker covenant badge in the Pit of Hollows (Undead Settlement). He will also invade there, and later you can summon him as a phantom, but as I said: he will also attack you, so be careful.
Okay, thanks for all the help. :)
Have you tried to stop to be a cancer kiddo?
