Seriously, several days, I'm struggling enough as is, have not made it past Central Irithyll due to invaders constantly ruining co-op experiences, many of them straight up hacking. It's lovely being invaded and then popped with spells through walls or being hit with melee when they can't even be seen.

Additionally, those who are "legitimately" PVPing are too cowardly to fight one-on-one, they always hide behind the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Pontiff Knights. Really? Those of you who do that are cowards through and through, knowing it's the only way you can "win" a fight.

Honestly, 3 years after release, if everyone else is going to hack, why don't I at this point? Legitimately, what's the point of playing in a legitimate manner when the game is full of cowards and hackers and zero people are willing to co-op or PvP with integrity?

Since you are mentioning Co-op, guessing you have phantoms on your side? Spells going to walls, depends on spell, some weapon arts will also go through walls. They might not even be cheating in most cases.

Your vapid response proves my point entirely, the community is toxic to such an extreme that it's unreal. I explain very real instances of cheating, such as being killed by seemingly nothing, out of nowhere, with no players in sight (and no, not by an arrow). There's countless videos highlighting people cheating online that have been uploaded over the years but you say "git gud".

If a 5 second google search can yield dozens of websites offering free or paid hacks for the game, that are legitimate, then the game has a serious issue. The "soft ban" system clearly is not working to deter it.

You also sound like the type of person to hide behind mobs instead of going toe-to-toe in an open area with someone.

go to the tree behind the shrine and get the "seed of a giants tree", use that when the invader runs behind a mob, and watch them roll around in horror as the mobs start attacking them :) btw the seed is a consumable

This is true. Many games have paid cheats ranging from wallhacks, aimbots, and a variety of not so safe free cheats on certain well-known sites.

And this is why it's so important for any game with a relatively large player base to have a solid anti-cheat or to be online only so you won't need an anti-cheat at all (Diablo series anyone?).

I guess the exception to this at the end of the day and another solid solution is to have player regulated private servers similar to what Battlefield has.

It is a punishment for 30% hp, and much moreso if you're playing with friends and it's pretty fair system save for the hackers, which isn't accounted for (you know, more than DeS where your hp is halved without humanity).

I'm very unsure about the specifics of invasion timers (a grace period where you can't get invaded again) but given Dried Fingers mechanics, it does exist and if it's akin to DS1's 15 minute timer, you should be able to get to the next bonfires without getting invaded. Just in case you're pigheaded to go through while being embered.

Don't lump all of us into one group just because you're mad that you can't think outside the box in invasions. Also, Invasions are NOT about "HONOR", they are about killing and surviving. Honorable PvP is in the Arena or via Summoning a red sign for a duel.

hold up people complain about invaders
i like to inavde people and i like to inavde a lot in irythill but i dont just stand behind the pontif knights unless im getting ganked by like 4 fricking people then i star to run and act tactical and once i edn up killing the host i get hate mail its always the hosts that are garbage and cowerdly like come on this is an argument about invaders but its always the hosts that are hackers and yes sometimes inavders are hackers thats not very common at least for me

Another prime example of what's wrong with this community. Zero. Offers. For. Help.

Instead a bunch of "git gud" morons circlejerking about how great the devs are and how amazing it is to literally twink and troll what's considered one of the harder zones in the game. Having played most of the game thus far enkindled, this is the only area where I've routinely been invaded as well as been with people who have been invaded themselves.

The area is toxic and every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ person who invades hides behind the Pontiffs like children. For a "git gud" crowd, sure are reliant on AI to back you up.
