saint bident for max rangue
lothric knight spear or great lance for the best main weapon spears
So I guess I'll go for Lothric Knight Spear, it has a nice fashion and a decent AR, not much of a difference from LKSS but aighty
These also don't require huge strength investment (15 and 14 respectively) in comparison to other halberds like the Splitleaf Greatsword (26) and Gundyr's Halberd (30).
EDIT: Red-hilt also has pokes akin to a spear and its moveset is like the Partizan, incase you really like pokes.
Edit: yeah Lothric Pike weapon art and running attack seem pretty much awful against some tanky boy, pretty sure that I would mind not using those unless 1 hp/chasing enemy lel
On low levels / early game you can check if you get more damage with a raw gem.
You can pick up a second sharp gem in Catacombs.
It's possible that other players infuse the weapon for you, when they have spare gems in their inventory.
Farming sharp gems is possible, but hard on low sl. The big skeletons in Catacombs have very bad drop rates. Well, and the Corvian Knights drop a bit better, but are harder to kill. I usually kill the first one, before you arrive the Corvian Settlement bf.
