Always expected poison builds to be useless as poison does almost no damage.

Just keep pressuring your opponent with attacks and don't go for a poison infusion. Rotten pine resin helps as well with the build up.

This for invasions or Pontiff duels? I can see it being more useful in invasions, since the host/phantoms won't see it as a problem until it causes them to start drinking estus. Also, poison just negates ToD and when people survive with a sliver of health, so there's that for a good use.

I hear ya, OP, I love my poison infused rotten ghru dagger. I don't leave my world without it. Just a few hits from it will proc the poison, and then I can switch to my main. I know it p!sses people off, especially those big boys.

Also poison infusion is fine, just have another weapon that can put out raw damage.
