Did the Millwood Battle Axe get nerfed?

Heaps of people saying it is the best Axe in game and that applying a heavy gem to it gives it an A scaling in strength. However, when I'm looking at infusing a heavy gem with one, it doesn't change the strength scaling?

What upgrade is your axe? It very well does have an A scaling at +10, since I have it on my Strength build. At lower upgrades the scaling won't be as good, just like with the base damage of the weapon.

Very bad and ♥♥♥♥ weapon. A player can roll away after you do the stun attack and as an axe it's not really faster or better than a straightsword or other axe.

I'm not the biggest fan of axes either, but I wouldn't say very bad. And while not faster, it certainly does more damage than a straight sword. Though the weaponart only seems to sometimes guarantee an R1, while the other times you can just roll out of it.

Agreed. It's horrible in PvP. I was kinda hoping agaisnt hopes that it would be like the dragon battle axe in dark souls 2. It isn't, unfortunately.
