Aldrich's true form?

Hi guys i started to play DS3 , and i just killed Aldrich but, when i entere i just saw Gwyndolin and i was like WTF?? Aldrich is the black sludge part or is he taking the form of Gwyndolin? damn that was crude ;-;

Aldrich was a noble cleric with a hunger for human flesh. He absorbed so much humanity that his form could no longer stay stable, and he bloated into a mass of dark and deep. Fatty never gets hungry though, so he was basically eating Gwyndolin when you found him.
