Sharp works wonders with some weapons with minimum str and like 60 DEX
Which I did hear some of the types of infusions in DS3, I did want to do sharp I think since I looked up and saw that it gets an S scaling in dexterity with a sharp gem [lothric sword]. But I just got minimum requirements for now, so I was wondering if it was smart to make it raw for the extra damage for now, then change it later.
Not a huge fan of raw. You can actually change the infusions, even bring the weapon back to normal, at Andre, whenever you want, for a soul cost. I´d say raw works best for int/faith builds, as you need a weapon for when ♥♥♥♥ gets close, but can´t spend too many souls on str/dex. Also, early game I´d say an elemental infusion works better, fire is particularly useful at Farron/Road of Sacrifices/Undead Settlement/Cathedral of the Deep. Fire is also nice for fighting dogs, they stun for a really long time once hit, if they don´t die. Raw gives you early power, but later the lack of scaling means the weapon may get outclassed. Keep in mind that infusion items are a bit rare. What kind of build are you going for?
I was thinking of going dexterity, I been using the lothric sword and it’s being very effective for me (and it looks nice of course). Though my reasoning is l, with a raw infusion to boost base damage, I can keep my strength and skill at the base requirements for a bit, and focus on vitality and endurance for now. By the time I get around to focusing on dexterity, and/or when the raw infusion starts feeling obsolete, I am hoping is it would be by the time I would have found a better gem of something.
