Boot up OBS.
1. http://prntscr.com/gbdh3n
Click the "+" icon the arrow is pointing at.
2. http://prntscr.com/gbdhc1
Choose "Game capture".
3. http://prntscr.com/gbdhn8
Make sure to create a new source (name it however you want), click OK.
4. http://prntscr.com/gbdhu5
The properties window will show up automatically, change the mode to "Capture specific window".
5. A new list will now appear, named "Window". Just choose the specific .exe for the game you want to capture. Click OK to save.
NOTE: The game must be running in the background!
And that should be it for capturing the game itself.
Try Raddenson11's advice on how to set this up properly.
Also: There are times I wish I had a recording of something unexpected. Would be practical to just record whenever I play? Would that be demanding on my pc? Is there a free program you would recommend to cut out the parts of the video? I'm not gonna try to get a tutorial for that too. LOL. I'll figure it out later.
