Why is the Drang Armor So Bad?

So, you'd imagine the Drang Armor to be a bit better than it is, but there are armor pieces that are available much earlier in the game which have much better stats overall than they do. What's the deal with that? They're absolutely horrendous, when compared to almost anything else! Where's the poise with all of that Geisteel reinforcement? I don't see any, and the Mirrah Vest (which is essentially all leather, mind you) has 4.2 poise, compared to the Drang Armor. 4.2! How much does the Drang Armor have? Only 0.8 poise. All of the Mirrah Vest's stats are better, except weight! What's the deal with this? It was designed by Llewellyn, the most accomplished smith in all of Mirrah- how come a royal piece of armor is utterly terrible compared to that of a Mirrah Knight?

FromSoft, please make the Drang Set better than it currently is. It's in a sorry state, and has been so since launch. I'd suggest making it heavier, and adding improved stats; and possibly making the Mirrah Vest lighter, and giving it slightly less good stats.

But the thing is, it could definitely use more poise, and its stats are quite strange for what it is- especially where it is, too.

It's still got good defense for being one of the lightest sets in the game. I think it's pretty efficient. If you want more protection, slap on heavier armour if you can afford the weight. And if there are more efficient sets, what's 2 absorption points? That's a 2% difference in damage with weapons that already take 3-10 hits to kill.

Cause it's dark souls and armor stats don't mean anything unless they're extremely high.

True, it is pretty efficient, I'm kinda just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ upsetti about it getting the shortest straw when it comes to stats, instead of some other armor set. :<

to the people who say that the mirrah and drang set are just leather, they most likely have some fine chainmail under there

kek, I meant if it possibly swapped its stats with another, better set- that'd be hella dope. But, you ain't wrong, having it in the game at all is nice.

Oh yeah, and BTW, I'm more bothered by the Drang weapons than the Drang armour. Because the Drang weapons are cool, but subpar.
