Magic Weapon or Resins?

I'm SL 129 with 40/40 str/dex. Is it worth it to use the spell magic weapon on my sword to get a little damage buff or is the split damage worse than if I simply used a resin?

And if it's not worth it, is there a better spell I should get for example in pvp situations for harassment, or is it more efficient to just respec the intelligence/attunement stats into something else like more str/dex?

generally, physical infusion + buff will give you a higher damage for the buff duration, but an elemental infusion will provide a good damage without duration.

I would prioritize damage over time duration. I guess I should mention that I'm currently using refined dark sword + 10

This is my first run through of the game and I'm new to the series so if you have a weapon suggestion I'm all ears, hence why Im posting here

magic weapon is too weak to be worth it, go for dmb/cmw/resin

unless you're going for high int crystal magic weapon or high faith lightning/darkmoon blade, spell buffs arent really worth it over normal resins.

if your weapon has a good base damage, blessed weapon is great and only requires 15 fth.

Resins with low int/faith, spell with high int/faith.
