Just like Ancient, stays in one spot, flys upward, lands, blows fire, repeats. That's lazy
Yawn. Good for you.
No offense taken. I just think that a good boss design is Gael and not Midir. Gael has everything that makes a boss interesting to fight while Midir is difficult because he just trashes around like a giant hitbox. For me that is lazy design. Gael on the other hand I can fight and die to for days.
The only Midir's problem is hitboxes. Otherwise i think his amazing. His moves, the special effects, explosions.
A dragon that is not some push over like in Skyrim or the Ancient Wyvern who's not even a boss in a sense of it.
You just gotta get used to particular fighting style against Midir. Which is waiting for oportunities.
Dragon bosses were always like this in Dark Souls.
Sith the Slumbering Dragon in Dark Souls 2 was not exactly any better. He loved to fly all over the place and you would spend good half of the fight just standing around, doing nothing because the bastard is flying and you can't deal any damage while he keeps harassing you with corrosive flame that poisons you and degrades your gear.
I actually hate Gael. I find him way cheaper than Midir. To each his own.
