How to get to Irithyll Kitchen without going through Distant Manor ?

I'm at the part where I want to send Greirat to pillage Irithyll. I was told long ago that going to Distant Manor and/or lighting that bonfire could screw up the quest.

I am now near the distant manor, but I can't see any way to get to the bottom without going through the Manor itself. I can't go through the Irithyll dungeon as it will also screw up the quest.

I did this successfully once but I forget how to get to the kitchen. I just want to make sure Siegward is there before I send Greirat on a pillage.

I watched the video again but it doesn't help. I'm on the other side of the door he opens at 2:42. I need to get from there to the bottom, without going through the Manor.

then go to Church of Yorshka bonfire and go away from there, there is a long path around down to the shallow water

Which way do I go from those golden doors ?

heading away from the doors you speak of, stay to the right and take a right to find the bonfire, then continue on from there to find the shallow water

But that's the distant manor bonfire...

So the ONLY way is through the manor ?

no it's even in the first video after he opens the doors at 2:42 he goes right to the Church of Yorshka bonfire. this is a bonfire that is along the way to Irithyll Kitchen

you can and must skip the manor entirely if you have an invader or phantom present, then the distant manor bonfire area will be locked behind an unpassable fogwall, so no, you do not need to go to distant manor yet

I think I'm confusing the Manor bonfire with the Church. I thought they were the same thing lol.

Cool, I will go through the Church and avoid the Manor just to be careful. Thanks much! Also thanks to everyone for the help.
