Twin Princes tips
A search on here is mostly people asking for co-op help with the twin princes. i'm looking for tips to defeat him. After several attempts i started checking out vids. I just can't seem to touch Lorian. As soon as he teleports he whacks me as soon as he reappears. I figure I would then start just start rolling as soon as he blinks out, but the problem there is i have to turn around to find him and as soon as I do he wails on me.

In the vids it looks like he doesn't teleport as fast or like the player knows where Lorian will land. Is that the trick?

idk many tricks myself but you can use vow of silence and they cant teleport so its useful for me also magic deals alot of damage to lorian

I was one struggling on this, and I've never beaten him solo yet... only boss I can't. And yes, it's the teleport that gets me. It might help to have headphones in case the stereo allows you to work out where he is when he teleports...

Another tip I've heard is having a shield that has high Fire/Magic resistances, and turning/rolling anti clockwise too him. Use of a lightning damage weapon helps too.

The best I've ever done solo is 1/4th of the health bar on the other twin left before dying; that was using one of the NPC helpers from outside and waiting until he picks up aggro then running in and hitting them from behind. Two NPC helpers makes them too strong to handle.

Ive heard if you dont lock onto them they wont teleport as much, tho im not sure how reliable that is

Try using something like an Exile Curved greatsword. Can easily get 3 attacks in before lorian attacks again. Also on phase 2 you can hit both targets at once. Use resin/bundles to buff it and slice away.

You can try to keep your view towards the center of the room to make sure you have the highest odds of locating him ASAP when he teleports. Keep your camera high enough so if he appears above you to drop you can immediately roll. His other attacks almost always have some type of delay you can readily find him and dodge before he hits (esp his charge long line attack which I see people panic roll on getting hit). You eventually just get a feel for it and can find him naturally very fast. Maybe it is because you automatically know to sweep look left if your on the right side of the room, vice versa to scan the largest amount of area for highest odds of finding him fast.

To hit the brother on the back you can opt for a larger slower weapon that can hit both brothers in one fell swoop (depending on move set, 1h vs 2h direction it swings, etc.). Really easy way to cheese the brother on the back.

You can also lock on and keep rolling behind the brother as he swings and hit the small brother on the back (very effective if you get good at it).

For the attacks you have the most difficulty with it may be a good idea to use the appropriate stoneplate ring, armor, and bug pellet to reduce that element the most. This is actually probably the fire based sword swings and stuff in reality tho some may have serious panic roll issues with the large line magic attack (the homing orbs shouldn't be very threatening at all tbh).

Use the correct elements he is weak against:
Slash Lightning/Frost Frost/Magic (Lorian)
Physical-type (Lothric)

Thanks. let me see where yuria went so i can buy the vow of silence.

When I do get an attack in (< 25% load with Lothric heavy sword +10) as soon as I finish my swing he's teleported, landed behind me and whacked me before I can even roll. I'm not locking on him either because when I lock on my rolling directions suck, so I don't do it. I didn't see any NPC signs either :(

I had this trouble also but after fighting him so many times, learn his attacks and get your rolls down. He is no pushover for sure. I've raged MANY times on this fight. I was actually able to beat him on a SL35 build I was doing. Such a great feeling that was! Hang in there and just keep memorizing his patterns. You will get it!

Ugh. Can't get vow of silence because yuria gone because Anri dead. I guess Ill just memorize his patterns. I hate patterns, it feels like pac-man. turn left, go right 2 times, up once, down twice...

Try a faster weapon.

Everyone has trouble dealing with the teleport? i find the most annoying part is with lorian using the magic and the huge slash attack

even with some friendly help still died. I need to get down how to quickly locate him so i can see his attacks. It does though seem if i survive the first 3 or 4 teleports he kinda stays in place for a while to get some hits in. Will try to tackle again tomorrow. Learned that when Dark Souls is kicking your ass repeatedly to take a break LOL
