Another tip I've heard is having a shield that has high Fire/Magic resistances, and turning/rolling anti clockwise too him. Use of a lightning damage weapon helps too.
The best I've ever done solo is 1/4th of the health bar on the other twin left before dying; that was using one of the NPC helpers from outside and waiting until he picks up aggro then running in and hitting them from behind. Two NPC helpers makes them too strong to handle.
To hit the brother on the back you can opt for a larger slower weapon that can hit both brothers in one fell swoop (depending on move set, 1h vs 2h direction it swings, etc.). Really easy way to cheese the brother on the back.
You can also lock on and keep rolling behind the brother as he swings and hit the small brother on the back (very effective if you get good at it).
For the attacks you have the most difficulty with it may be a good idea to use the appropriate stoneplate ring, armor, and bug pellet to reduce that element the most. This is actually probably the fire based sword swings and stuff in reality tho some may have serious panic roll issues with the large line magic attack (the homing orbs shouldn't be very threatening at all tbh).
Use the correct elements he is weak against:
Slash Lightning/Frost Frost/Magic (Lorian)
Physical-type (Lothric)
When I do get an attack in (< 25% load with Lothric heavy sword +10) as soon as I finish my swing he's teleported, landed behind me and whacked me before I can even roll. I'm not locking on him either because when I lock on my rolling directions suck, so I don't do it. I didn't see any NPC signs either :(
