Raw infusion and two handing a weapon

Hi,

A raw infusions removes all scaling. Therefore we do not get bonus from strength.
So does it mean we gain nothing from two handing it, beside the different moveset?

I think 2h hits got more "poise" and more flat damage so you will do more damage anyway, but no scaling is a bad idea

edit: what is the weapon and your main stat? force or dex?

The "benefit" you get from 2 handing is almost entirely just the moveset. You do no more damage, and unless it is some giant greatsword you probably have marginally more poise than before.

i currently do my first run of ds3 and with a irithyll sword, against lothric knights, 1h i got cancelled and can't break their shield defense. while 2h i can and they dont stop my swings anymore so... :)

edit: i just tested and 1h = 172dmg ; 2h = 201dmg so it does more damage too and its normal :D

I've found that 2 handing does give you more damage, no idea why.

Blessed or dark seems good for your build with this weapon but you'll find a better one and i dont think you have these gems where you are currently at

or heavy it got A scaling with strength

Heavy with only 13 strength I doubt it :) later on sure I'll move to heavy for my weapons when I have build my strength more...
And only 16 faith now so maybe not bless yet.
I'm just at the beginning of the build.

if you go raw infusion, you'll lose almost no AR from 1H it since it removes the strenght scaling, but 2 handing some weapons willl still give you poise/hyperarmour (maces, GH, GS, UGS, CGS...) Raw are only good for pure faith/int builds who want to buff the weapon with spells, it is also good for low SL invasions to max the AR

Raw infusion is only temporary, while I build my stats. Later on I'll probably infuse it with heavy to scale with strength or lightning to scale with faith. Or blessed for the S scaling.
Or change weapon, for a bigger one.

BTW I wonder. Is it of any use to improve a shield with titanite? I'll not attack with it anyway...

Better blockage plus stuff infused with blessed or infusion will regen faster at higher upgrade levels.

omagad thank you, thanks to you now i know i can infuse my shield with HP or FP regen :D
