Soul level for PvE?

I have heard that your soul level, among other things, determines your connectivity with other players. I am more interested in PvE instances so may I know at what soul level I should stop at? I tried googling but I'm bombarded with information and I don't know which ones to look at.

Also, it's not just soul level but your equipment level too

No, unfortunatley not, unless you've been archiving backup copies of your character save file at whatever milestones you might like to keep track of.

SL120 is the ad hoc soft cap for community participation in this game. Go much higher and your chances of connecting with other people diminishes significantly.

120-150 roughly thats the most id go to for meta invasions

Forget the SL cap, just clear the whole game and lurk the forums for people asking for help and, with a PW, you can help them all. The game is dying and random coop is rare to come by.

When it comes to the equipment, let's say you're highest level weapon is a standard +2 (which for a boss or special weapon would be +1) people who have a +10 (or +5 Special weapon) can't join you or invade you

I have the Farron Greatsword at a +2 right now. If I want to match with people at +10 or +5 special weapon, do I upgrade it till +3 or +4?

Also, does the equipment have to be "equipped" or does it just need to be in my inventory/storage box to affect my connectivity with other players?

I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes between Midir sunbro summons. Couple that with random Spear and Blade summons and I find myself unable to fill the time between with farming activities efficiently, so I wind up watching YT poops on autoplay.

I'm about to fight the abyss watchers and I didn't see a single sign
My weapon is lv2 and I used a lot of souls on items and other stuff instead of lv up my character, did I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up co-op there??

Even when I put a sign down I have to wait like 30 min

you killed the boss or still need help?
Its normal in the swamp region are not so many players, atleast not doing the boss but if you open a thread asking for help think you will always find someone within 5 minutes
