Dark Souls 3 Dlc Sharing

So my brother and I have Dark Souls 3 purchased, only that he bought the dlc, we have our accounts linked with family sharing, but i cant seem to enter the dlcs, does it not apply to the sharing nature of our accounts or is it a bug?

If you have the base game, DLC won't be family shared. Same goes for any other game.
All you can do is remove the game from your account, this way you'll be able to use his copy with DLCs.

but doesnt that mean i will lose my characters?
And if not, how do i "remove" Dark souls 3 from my account?

Nope, your saves won't be affected.

Click on DS3 in the library > Click "Support" under Links on the right > "I want to permanently remove this game from my account"

Do keep in mind that you won't be able to play DS3 while your brother is playing any other game, unless he goes offline.

if you own ds3 and he also owns it on his account you dont have to remove a thing

Family sharing DLC won't work if you have the base game. In any game.

dls wont share as you own the game the game too. if you remove the game you still own it so it wont show up
