Just mention the password and where to put my sign.
I’m on my first playthrough ever and I only have enough titanite to commit to one special weap because both of these use the same upgrade mats
I already have the greatsword but don’t want to upgrade it because I was holding those mats for frayed blade because I hear it is crazy good in pvp
I'd honestly go for the hollowslayer. I'd say that a sharp uchi is better for PvE, since you can buff it unlike the Frayed Blade. Also if you're early on then just upgrade the Hollowslayer for now, you won't be able to use the Frayed Blade until you have 40 dex. Even if you have 40 dex now, by time you get the weapon you should have plenty of titanite scale and be able to buy infinite of them.
Also wouldn't say Frayed Blade is that amazing for PvE. Biggest thing it has going for it is the multi slash weaponart is unparriable and can be comboed after an R1. Hollowslayer is a great PvP weapon though, and is real fun to use with some poise.
WA is parryable, as I have been parried trying to use the WA. The multihit slash works the same way as the WA for the crow talons which is also parryable.
The downward slash with a dark beam can be parried, the slash flurry cannot be parried. Believe me, I've tried and anyone I've seen try parrying the multi-slash has failed.
This is also the first time I've heard someone say that attack can be parried.
Yup. Only upgrade material you can't get infinite of is slabs, but you get a max of 15 per NG with both DLC. Though buying titanite scale and twinkling is super expensive. That's 20k souls and 15k souls respectively. Titanite chunks cost 13k each.
Though the ashes that lets you buy them is at an optional end game area.
So even though I don’t use spells, I’ve bought all the miracles, pyros, and sorceries I can at this point. I’ve bought all the armor off the fire link vendor even the exile pieces, and I use none of it still
I just needed to dump souls lol
