Goblin Slayer Cosplay

For those of you not aware (or not interested), Goblin Slayer is a new-ish anime where the titular main character is badass enough that I've seen at least three people in PvP who named their characters 'Goblin Slayer'. I'm thinking of making a cosplay build, and while I have a good idea of the build and weapons, my fashion souls isn't high enough level to figure out what armor looks closest.

For weapons, the guy uses a short sword and small shield, so Valorheart is the obvious pick. He's usually hunting goblins in caves, and so uses a torch, so a Follower Torch in the off hand. His main shtick, though, is planning and improvising with whatever strange ideas he experiments with. He also likes throwing his weapons, so I'll basically be using every consumable in the book; poison daggers, kukris, bombs, rope bombs, etc.

Again, I've got a pretty good idea of what weapons would be appropriate, but I don't have a clue how to make a guy that LOOKS like Goblin Slayer. So, suggestions?

For armor I would start from Alva, mainly the helmet but the chestpiece is pretty close too, being a mix of leather and plate, and then experiment with other pieces of medium armor you find around. Sadly I don't think there's anything in this game that would make people go "hey that's Goblin Slayer" right away

I suggest the Follower Javellin, and a composite bow with very arrow type you can get.

For armor, I suggest Havel's helm, Follower Armor and gauntlets, and Basic Knight Leggings.

I would chose the iron dragonslayer helmet just for the plume alone. For weapons i think the short or broadsword with a target shield fits more than the valor

I was considering the Javelin, but we see him throwing his sword more than throwing a spear, so I figured I'd stuck to kukris. As for the bow, that might be my offhand weapon.
