Midir, the camera eater

Ok, this is personal. I need to beat this boss alone, this is my first PT and i can summon and ask for help but Midir is my prey (this is where i git gud... or not).
First of all, i´d like to know from more experienced players what are the weaknesses of this giant ♥♥♥♥. I´m SL 90+, wearing cloranthy ring +3, estus ring, favor ring +3 and the 4th ring i just dont know what to use, my character is pretty balanced between str and dex (35 each). Herb shield on one hand and black knight sword +5 in the other.
Second: i feel i´m fighting the camera weird ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ angles more so than the boss himself. Like, when he flies to throw fire on my head i can´t follow him and i end up eating all the fire.
Well, kind folks, any advices for the darkeater that i wouldn´t find in a google search? Or that i would.

Get a lightning weapon and hit him in the back legs, if u only use physical weapons thats all i can tell u xD
Also, use the pontiff's right eye for 4th ring (always worth) and well, gl xD

Ok, this solves the ring mistery. I have dual lightning katanas, but dmg is too low compared to the BK sword. Time to reinforce weapons i think. Thanks!

Hit the head only and always be in front of him. Makes camera more manageable.

He's actually weak against Lightning, I killed him the way the Gods intended: with Lightning Arrow. Yes! The camera when you're fighting him is absolutely terrible! After taking 3 deaths to him (mainly because of the camera) I fought him locked off while he got up close and locked back on to him when he got further away.

I have some advice for you though. You should get a high fire resist shield like the Dragon Crest Shield or the Black Knight Shield if you don't feel like dodging his fire attacks, it can make the fight easier as a whole. Secondly, consider getting a lightning-infused weapon or carry some pine bundles and resins with you. Stick close to his head, you don't have many opportunities to actually attack him. Don't stray too far or he'll start spamming his one shot laser beams all over the place.

I say stick to his head, especially solo. This gives you way more damage and an eventual riposte towards the end. Plus, staying close makes him less likely to use his ranged attacks. He is weak as sh.it to lightning obviously but pestilent mist works well on him too.

Idk why but he´s agressive AF from the start.
Put up a good fight just now, then he one shoted me with his love beam. Gotta love him.

Can´t use lightning arrow cause of my stats, too low for magic. ♥♥♥♥ me. :(

I think your camera issues are related to lock-on. I never use it and never had any camera issues with Midir. Midir is a pretty simple boss. Just stay in front of him and only attack his head. He will repeat the same moves over and over again and you can just keep punishing them until he dies.

If using a melee strategy, Midir's all about stamina management because he's got such a massive HP pool. You don't have to deal massive damage with every hit; just focus on reserving enough Stamina to get out after you tap him a few times.

Ideally, you want to attack him right after the bite attacks or the laserbeams for !!!!BIG DAMAGE!!!!™ since he'll sort of sit there for a second and do nothing as he recovers. Beyond that, just remember to tap gently and move on.

You mean the laser light show he does during phase 2? You can make sure he never uses that attack by staying near him, he only ever uses it if you're far away.
