What's better the butchers knife or the claymore?

I love the claymore but the ice sword and the butchers knife just dropped. Is the claymore better than both of them?

The Irithyll Straight sword ( I assume that's what you meant) is great if you play aggressively and can get in 3-4 hits at one time. If you're more cautious, stick with the Claymore. The butcher's knife is fun, but I think it takes just a bit too much stamina and too unwieldy for PvE. But feel free to give it some practice swings and see how you feel about it!

Claymore, straight up. the other two are uninfusable and have ass damage.

All weapons are viable, it's all about your playstyle. Pick whatever you like. You might be at a disadvantage to the boring people who just pick whatever is strong, but you'll be different. Fighting the same weapons over and over is so boring.

Use to find the lothric knights hard but now I eat through them with ease. The blue knights can still kill me though.

As people stated, Claymore is better both in PvE and PvP than the other two weapons.
However I guess you are on your first playthrough? If so you really should choose the weapon you like, any of these should be able to carry you to victory.
So yeah, pick the one with the moveset you find the most appealing.
