step 2: running attack
step 3: have fun
try any of the dual blades +10 refined and then use a dark buff (either a spell or human pine resin) you can deal 1000 with 2 right clicks (i don't know what it is for controller)
Sharp Murakumo
Strong R1s, Hyperarmor and ridiculous Poisedamage, Really good running attack, High damage
Or a Sharp Mace
Strong R1s, Hyperarmor, great roll catches and ridiculous Poisedamage, Garbage running attack, Good damage, great weapon art
In a duel situation:
Pontiff Knight Curved Sword
Great range, awesome speed, good weapon art, horrible against ganks and ok damage
Or Sharp Lothric Knight sword
Good range, good speed, good weapon art, okay against ganks and good damage
Or (difficult to use) the murky sand scythe
weak range, great speed, mediocre damage, but OP weapon art
Against idiots and noobs: (Other than Murakumo)
Astora Greatsword, Twin Sellswords, Frayed blade
All those listed are viable, these are just those I would deem the BEST in the respective situations.
Hope this helped.
Freyed blade/chaos blade
Astora's greatsword
Murakumo or whatever I keep forgetting how you write it
