forced Spear of the Church summon. why ?

hey there.
time to time,
beeing at Ringed Inner Wall bonfire,
having Ember eat,
having help summon sign on the ground,
i get forced summoned to help Spear of the Church.

i mention i'm not having Spear of the Church covenant equipped and
i had give only 1 or 2 to the statue long time ago when i did not know what it means.

what the heck is happening ?
is this a bug ?

is there any way to escape from this forced summons ?

when you have your summon sign down anywhere in the ringed city you have a chance to be summoned as spear of the church, i dont think there's a way to prevent this

Its a feature of the ringed city.

Judicator Argo will summon you to defend the church from your white sign, even if you never activated the covenant.

If you dont want to be a spear of the church simply black crystal when you spawn, the host will then have to fight Halflight.

It's a stupid feature which can't be prevented. Whenever I get kidnapped there from White Soapstone sign I protest against bad game design by being afk and ruining the fight. At first I used to bc out so that Halflight would spawn in but that got irritating pretty quickly. It's not fun trying to get summoned to Midir and then being hijacked to Spears of the Church several times in a row.

some guys are happy some guys don't fight and that i use Power Within to kill myself slowly :)
