Problem with Pale Shade Set equipment

Hi, I've been following a guide to get this set; I've done everything it told me to do, which is:


- Kill Londor Pale Shade in Farron Keep
- Kill Yuria's assassin to get her mad
- Kill LPS again in Irithyll (before fighting Pontiff Sulyvahn)

So I went back to Firelink Shrine, talked to Yuria, and she told me that she's basically mad at me. I reset the area by teleporting to somewhere else, then come back, she's disappeared but no trace of the set anywhere!

What did I do wrong? I followed every step of the way but there is no corpse with the set on it where Yuria were, even though I did kill LPS twice.

I made Yuria mad before Pale Shade's invasion in Farron Keep. Maybe you should've killed Yoel earlier to make sure you'll get the set. At least that's what I've done.

You meant kill Yuria? Because Yoel had to die for Yuria to appear in Firelink Shrine.
I do remember killing LPS in Farron Keep even though I obviously could not have killed Yuria's assassin yet, she had to be mad at me for him to spawn according to the Wiki.

Man those sidequests are so complicated and so easy to mess up, no way someone managed to find and finish all of them without a guide, even with a guide I have some trouble...

I was talking about killing Yoel as soon as you meet him in Undead Settlement. This automatically fails Yuria's questline. I didn't get it on my second playthrough because I skipped the invasion in Farron Keep.

Oh I see, but according to the guides you can just "kill" Yoel by drawing out true strength 5 times for Yuria to appear, then you can anger her once she's at the Firelink Shrine.

I do remember doing it as soon as I could, which was after talking to him the first time in Undead Settlement.

I don't have the choice but to do it on another playthrough at this point anyway, hopefully it will work next time, I don't know what to do differently, thank you very much for your help.

Go back down to the area, then face Yoel's corpse and look to the left? Here's a video with its location:

If it's not there, and it's not there after you've re-loaded, then ... well, I guess it kind of sucks to be you, and you've hit a bug.

And ... to be clear, you definitely did kill the Londor Pale Shade in Farron Keep? 'Cause it kind of sounds like you didn't piss Yuria off until after you'd have beaten the Abyss Watchers? Because if you're friendly with her, you might have summoned LPS instead, and gotten your memories garbled. :/

normally if u killed the shade in iritithyll , the set appears where yruia should stand, i didnt even pickup yoel at start, didnt start the questline, still got invaded by shade, i killed him, and got his set easily

You know what? You might be right, it is very possible that I'm confusing things, because I do remember getting invaded in Farron Keep by an NPC, but instead of LPS it could have been just Yellowfinger Heysel. And the reason why I believed it was LPS could have been because I summoned him for the Abyss Watchers.

Very good catch, I think you nailed it on the head, I took a break before playing DS3 again so I'm almost certain that is what actually happened, I must have missed that step in the guide I'm following to complete all the quests.

I'll make sure to kill LPS in Farron Keep next time, unfortunately once you kill him in Irithyll he doesn't come back there, which sucks, thanks guys.

Just so you know, you can get the Londor Pale Shade's stuff without ruining Yuria's questline. If you punch her (empty handed) three times to aggro her, the Londor Pale Shade will invade in Farron Keep. Then, you request absolution at Velka's shrine, and Yuria forgives/forgets your assault, so you can continue doing her quest stuff as normal.

Repeat the assault on her when you're ready to get invaded in Irithyll and then get absolved again, and you've successfully killed LPS while he's invading twice, and Yuria's quest-line is still intact.

Very interesting! I had no idea this was possible, I'll make sure to go back to this thread on my next playthrough, thanks a lot for this tip!
