Can I revive Judicator Argo to progress Greirat's questline?
Will killing the revived boss make Greirat return from pillaging?

Related question: does reviving Judicator Argo re-enable summoning for the area? Before anyone asks I checked the wikis and did several google searches, but couldnt seem to come up with the answer

As for progressing Greirat- I don't know the specific mechanics/triggers, but I would think yes since it is beating a boss (which would count unless From made specific exceptions). Worth a try IMO

Argo isn't even main game, why would an endgame boss trigger a mid-game quest?

what I know, is that reviving argo and defeating the spear of the church again will NOT make patches return from lothric castle if he went there to find greirat. so I would assume it would also not work to progress greirat's questline.

it does. I mean, I've never tried myself but I'm pretty sure I've seen/heard of people doing it.

OP is talking about a questline that has triggers for beating a boss, so assuming From didnt make an exception to revived Argo, it would work. I can confirm that beating regular DLC bosses (Gravetender, Friede, Demon Prince) counts for a trigger, as I have used them to return Patches to Firelink after all the base game bosses were dead (I have never needed to try using revived Argo for that purpose yet). The only question here is does the revived Argo have the same properties as the initial boss for purposes of quest triggers

Edit: Thanks Cridus, you have all the answers today it seems. I'll see if i can run through the bosses, then revive Argo and check for signs to confirm. Would explain why the area is so populated for pvp

because what if the game simply has an "event" that is "a boss was killed"? that isn't far-fetched at all.
unfortunately, it probably doesn't actually work (but I don't know if killing the spear of the church for the first time also doesn't).

Oh yeah I forgot about the "any boss killed" trigger on Greirat....

Yeah reviving doesn't work on that

That's pretty much how PVP stays alive in TRC, gank squads have an area they can clear and then reinvite invaders to.
