As for progressing Greirat- I don't know the specific mechanics/triggers, but I would think yes since it is beating a boss (which would count unless From made specific exceptions). Worth a try IMO
it does. I mean, I've never tried myself but I'm pretty sure I've seen/heard of people doing it.
OP is talking about a questline that has triggers for beating a boss, so assuming From didnt make an exception to revived Argo, it would work. I can confirm that beating regular DLC bosses (Gravetender, Friede, Demon Prince) counts for a trigger, as I have used them to return Patches to Firelink after all the base game bosses were dead (I have never needed to try using revived Argo for that purpose yet). The only question here is does the revived Argo have the same properties as the initial boss for purposes of quest triggers
Edit: Thanks Cridus, you have all the answers today it seems. I'll see if i can run through the bosses, then revive Argo and check for signs to confirm. Would explain why the area is so populated for pvp
because what if the game simply has an "event" that is "a boss was killed"? that isn't far-fetched at all.
unfortunately, it probably doesn't actually work (but I don't know if killing the spear of the church for the first time also doesn't).
Yeah reviving doesn't work on that
