Sirris Quest if Hodrick's dead

Hi,

i want to do Sirris Quest to get Creightons Thunder Axe, yet when battling the Cursed Greatwood (even before meeting Sirris the first time), he somehow died (at least his corpse lay there with a homeward bone on it,) i can't explain it, maybe the wood fell on him O.o

Will this instantly fail my questline with sirris or only the last bit (which isn't important concerning the Axe)?

nah, it doesn't matter. you fight hodrick in sirris's world, doesn't matter if hodrick is alive in your world or not

That's normal. When you enter phase two of the boss and fall through the floor, Hodrick dies from being crushed. Only thing this affects is joining the mad servant covenant, which is mostly PvP oriented.

Time's warped and messed up in Souls, that's why sometimes Sirris is in your world as a normal person, sometimes as a phantom, and sometimes you're a phantom in her world, or if you wanna get crazy, why she's a phantom while you're a phantom in another player's world, even if she's dead in you're world.

Or why Kirks armor appears near Rosaria even though i killed him at the water basin where he dropped his Sword and Shield :D

Maybe he invaded from Rosaria's Bedchamber, and hollowed after you killed his invading phantom.
