very sensitive camera movement
can anybody help me? I bought dark souls III recently, when I started the game the sensitivity of the right analog is very high, resulting in any touch the camera turns too much, I use a control of xbox360 / pc already tried for the sensitivity of everything in the game, I did calibration, but it's just like the game itself?

You can always change sensitivity in Steam Big Picture controller settings (if custom controls enabled) or you can change it in game settings.

look if in controller configuration the right analog is also used for mouse, if yes change it to just analog.
or if not needed just turn controller configuration off complettly.

I'm sorry if I'm asking a stupid question, but I could talk step by step how to do this is because this never happened in any other game I bought so I do not know anything about how to handle the control settings, and the dark souls every time I closing it automatically opens again.

Assuming this is the same issue I had a couple of days ago where the ingame settings had no effect on sensitivity and the camera just span round when barely touching the stick (as well as the d-pad being ultra sensitive and "double clicking" sometimes), I fixed this by disabling everything apart from "generic gamepad configuration support" and "Guide Button Focuses Steam." I refer to the controller settings section found in steam settings. Let me know how you get on.

Yes, it's a necro from last summer. Just wanted to thank you, Grandmaster DisaSteR. I'd tried turning off Xbox configuration support in Steam's controller settings, but I hadn't left on "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support".

Doing so, the camera speed can now be adjusted properly in-game.

I no longer wildly swing from looking at the sky to the ground, to the wall...everywhere but at what I'm fighting. Thank you.

for me, using the "Generic Gamepad Configuration Support" completely disables my 360 controller. ish like im forced to have the xbox configuration or nothing at all ;s the insane camera spin in dark souls 3 makes it essentially unplayable to me, which is weird since in other games like borderlands and Remnant From the Ashes, this isnt any sort of problem or issue in the slightest, so it really feels to me like its something dark souls specifically fawked up on...

This delayed me from playing it for over a year now, looked it up and this came up. Hostel's tips worked instantly for me, thanks a lot over a year later 8)

Make sure that the right stick is not on "mouse emulation". Open the Steam panel and go into controller settings (upper right corner) and tweak your settings there.
