try setting the option to 'do nothing' in your audio - communication setting on windows
As for your problem, simply switching off microphone in the sound device settings would do the trick if it is not too complicated for you.
I am using August 650 Bluetooth headphone. I had the problem you descibed.
I have an on board sound system with input and output also. I click on the IN-GAME VOICE Tab in Steam Settings and then choose the audio input of that device/card as my device. There will be a button labeled "Change Device..."
Try it. And make sure that it stays the same during gameplay as well.
You may have to set this device as the recording device in your system as well. I just checked. It is so on my PC.
This actually may be too complicated for me. LOL. Where do I go to "switch off microphone"? I am not seeing "sound device settings" anywhere. Is this in steam? windows? dark souls III?

This realtech device is a on board device. I never use it. Nothing is connected to it.
