Best early game quality weapon?

Just use whatever. On my quality build I use whatever is fun for me and I can still do 3v1s (sometimes cause I ain't that gud yet. But I can do 2v1s :D)

Deep Battle Axe? It is dropped by the first mimic under the alive dragon on the high wall.

I'm going through my first playthrough as a Sellsword for the Sellsword Twinblades, and they're loads of fun! The paired weapons in general seem really fun to use, and they're pretty strong as well, especially once you get the Sharp Gem.

You gotta kill an ice dude that is close to undead settlement. Also I don't believe it all that good, though I've never tried a dedicated build for it. It has frostbite, which reduces stamina regeneration and does little damage, which would probably go better with vordt's hammer.

I believe the black blade (a katana) is a quality weapon and so is the longsword, though I prefer the lothric knight sword more

Bandits knife. Great bleed + speed + minimal stamina usage. Oh yeah and if timed right when enemy is attacking quickstep turns into godstep. Ran through the whole game in a day with a weapon skill shield (for quickstep weapon art. no parry needed.) and refined estoc buffable per weakness as a back up for enemies immune to bleed.
