Attunement stat level for non-casters
I have two builds: one is a DEX (SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH) build, 40/66 stat investment in str and dex, primarily using the Frayed Blade. Another is a FTH buff build using Lightning LKGS, Sunlight Straight Sword for Oath of Sunlight followed by Deep Protection, using Lightning Arrows to reliably rollcatch. 16/16/10/50 investment. I wouldn't consider the latter a caster whatsoever because ultimately my primary source of damage comes from swinging my greatsword and hyper armor-ing through trades, the offensive portion of casting from that build is highly situational.

They play well but it does suck hard when I run out of juice to use the Frayed Blade's WA which is what makes it so good / having to re-buff as an invader fighting multiple phantoms and Blues, even with Lingering +2 equipped. This is all made painfully apparent when I'm summoned to fight lots of Aldrich Faithfuls and Reds at Pontiff for a long time. I'm just curious to ask if others have the same problem - how much attunement does one invest to get a *decent* amount of FP?

I understand how much attunement will vary based on playstyle, but surely there must be some suggested value that falls within the meta and gives enough levels for adequate stat investment to get decent amounts of vigor, endurance, etc.

I'd say something like 15-20 is fine to get a good mount of juice, sounds like you started deprived, so that'd be a 10 point investment, but you'd have quite alot of blue to work with

Thanks for the advice. I'll just stick to being a casul with a one-handing straight sword but with the Lothric War Banner buff on the off-hand instead :p

IIRC I have 16 attunement on my FB build, yet I don't find that quite enough. From what you're saying I gather 20 is really the maximum attunement one should go for, especially in the case of non-caster builds?

I was until I got a point down at Pontiffs before the battle even started from the three invaders I summoned in a row. :feelsbad:

You can just use cheats instead of fb if you don't want any challenge.

After all it's pretty pointless to ask people here not to use outright broken stuff in multiplayer, because most of them are 12yo kids who need some kind of recognition in this life, even in form of ruining a game session to everyone involved, including themselves.

In all seriousness could you answer my question? I do play with the latter build as mentioned above much more frequently after all.

I am serious, don't use this weapon. This isn't a "competitive" game where people passionately hates a broken mechanic but still use it because it nets them imaginary ladder points. No sense in playing pvp that is made purely for fun when you drain all the fun there is with some stupid shit.
But since you one of these people you might as well get enoguh att to use tears of denial, not like there anything of worth left to lose with your setup.
