Max base damage or Bleed damage

I am currently using the Zweihander and have a bleed gem infused into it. I am wondering if I should keep it as what it is now or change it to increase its total damage. What is the best option for my scenario?

Are you trying to play a bleed build, or just fumbling? It's a terrible infusion for a Zweihander either way.

Depending, I have some UGS that can proc bleed in 2 hits, but generally speaking bleed infusion is best used on weapons that have natural bleed. Weapons that have no bleed but can be good with blood infusion are very few

Zwei is not an UGS, and also not among the weapons that would do good with bleed. It's a greatsword, and if you want a bleed infused one the flamberge is one of the best blood greatswords.
