Question about Old Wolf Curved Sword

Hello. I am doing twinblades build, and so I was thinking about Old Wolf Curved Sword's special effect.
1. Do I have to have it equipped right hand? Can I just have it left off-hand and dual wield my twinblades?
2. Do I need stat requriements for it to use it's special effect?

You can have it on your back and you do not need to get the stat requriement.
Just use a pontif ring its way lighter.

No, it stacks with both Pontiff rings so I will use both of the rings and the curved sword to get the best ♥♥♥♥ out of it

Nah, idk, it needs 12 INT and 12 FTH, dunno if im going to spend my attributes for that. Instead of 120 SL however, i can go for 125 though

Weapon and ring stack, carthus beacon only increases damage.

duration of carthus beacon is only 30 seconds, needs stat investment in stats which arent needed for the rest of the build and needs FP to cast which you need for your combo. If you use it in the arena it doesnt matter since you have ashen estus but for invasions this is a point to consider.
