The problem isn't that it has 3 stages, the problem is how it is executed.
Gael is a better boss anyway.

i don't even know what that is. all i know is this boss is trash, it's an insult to dark souls like the entire dlc

She is not that bad dude. Just backstab her. In the second phase you can use Gael as distraction and attack the angry Grandpa. Make sure that Gael survives the second phase.

In all phases use a poise breaking sword like Black Knight Sword.

BTW, she can be parried.

She is that bad, I tried poise breakers and they didn't even phase her. And i get gael into phase 3 every time but he's dead shortly after it starts. I'm just done trying, this ruined dark souls 3 for me. Oh and parrying, on her ain't very useful.

sister friede is literally easiest boss besides ancient wyvern and vordt if u r using astora greatsword u just have to spam weapon art

Ok, I would say don't give up? Put your summon sign down, help people and learn her patterns. Look for backstab opportunities. Gael dying early in the third phase will happen if you let him get too much damage in the second phase. Try again. She is not bad. I felt like you do about Gael later in the Ring City DLC. I know the feeling. Help some people and you'll see that she can be beaten.
