Safe at bonfire?

Are you safe from invasions if you sit at a bonfire?
Would be nice if I could go afk at one, without teleporting to the shrine each time.

While you rest at a bonfire, you are safe from invasions. However, being in the vicinity of a bonfire is not enough.

I know this because I have the Aldrich Faithful or Spears of the Church on at all times, and those flash white when they're searching. They don't flash white when I rest at a bonfire.

Pretty sure you can get invaded while resting, at least that's how it worked in DS1.

This is false. If you get invaded while resting at the bonfire the menu will close on its own and your character get up.

So yes, it is very possible.

in ds 1 and ds 2 you was able to invade people even when they rested at bonfires but in the third game (ds3) they changed that so people dont have to close the game or go to firelink whole time to stay safe

but how somebody already mentioned if you have a covenant like blue sentinels, you could get summoned to another world in the time ( so just equip a normal one /like sunbros/ or just dont have a covenant equiped at the moment when you go afk at bonfire)

I've never been invaded while sitting at a bonfire in DS3. I'd need video evidence to convince me otherwise.

as much as i read once your safe at your bonfire but when somebody invades you at that moment you stand up and have to fight (as you mentioned)

I would also like to see video evidence as i have NEVER been invaded or sent somewhere while RESTING at a bonfire.

I haven't played DS3 as long as some guys who have 1000+ hours on it, but I've played it more than long enough to get all the achievements. In all those hours, whenever I sat at a bonfire and went afk, I was always still sitting at that same bonfire. And yes, I'm pretty much always embered and playing DS3 online.

No its not.

How is it not? Have never once even with fingers, been invaded while at a bonfire if I wasn't already primed for one. Unless you have actual proof saying otherwise. Stop spreading false info~

Maybe you are right, I might remember at some point getting kicked from a bonfire while browsing the bonfire menu but my memory might be playing tricks. However, due to the invasion priority for lone hosts, you not getting invaded while afk is hardly a proof since I generally not get invaded for hours when alone and embered.
I'll have to test resting at the bonfire with dried fingers activated. Some day maybe...
