Also, the AI also has ATR(automatic button response), the second you swing your weapon, so will your enemy. Enemy always wins because weapon weight is not reflected on them, just you.

Same for estus. If you try to heal, enemy will attack. This is the most ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic take on "difficulty" i have ever seen, it's downright disgusting.

Then go play DS1, multiple people have no hit this game already, it's not the game that's bad here. We get one of these threads every 1-2 days, and it's almost always someone with a low amount of hours that doesn't know how to play the game.

How to counter lothric knights a step by step guide
1. They stagger, so outspace the first attack and strike them as the first attack ends this will stagger them.
2. You can almost always backstab the third attack in their standard combo off of a roll.
3. The regular AI from what I've seen does NOT have ATR what you've seen so far is likely coincidental or a result from your distance to them, NOT when you press a button. Input reading seems to be used by NPC Invader AIs however.
4. Don't spam into them if you have low damage they seem to have a "stagger break" attack which they will use when being attacked.
5. Weapons normally bounce of shields when one handed 2 hand them to get more guard breaks on a shield.
6. Alot of enemies do have attacks to punish estus, but it's your fault for trying to "cheese chug" them. Chug in between attack patterns, or during one provided you've spaced your self appropriately.

Git gud like everyone else and stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It is very clear that 1. You talk out of your a*s. 2. You have very little experience with the darksouls series and ds3 in general. You have a very little amount of time on record. Im sorry but if you where anywhere decent at ds1, ds3 would be a breez....Ds1 was a good game, but clunky as hell and much more difficult and cheap. The combat was much worst. Learn the game and get better before making a fool out of yourself on the forums. If ds1 is so much better then go play it as others have said. You are doing nothing but showing you know very little about the games.

In short use magic from distance or rolll and back ,roll and back,if you have good enough sword they will stagger and drop shield>>

Bunch of decent advice here good work fellas

If you're not really going for large weapons - two hand r1 with a fast weapon (long sword, uchi, falchion whatever you fancy really, falchion really slaps them though when two handed), be sure to 1v1 them whenever possible

If you're pumping str like a supersoldier - preferably two hand a great weapon such as ultra greatsword, great hammer or maybe even an axe (axes except black knight greataxe are not as nasty in crowd control if I remember so be wary)

If you're a mage - you're probably going to just two hand a fast weapon like a long sword otherwise use the kameha wave (I forgot what its called)

If you're going faith - blessed infuse dragon slayer axe or the lothric ultra greatsword and two hand it to give lothies a much needed slap

If you're a pyro - mind control them and laugh

I like to use both hands lol - good number of peeps have pointers on how to bonk them so just read those since this is only about what to bonk them with.
