Most balanced armor sets

Just because Im being curious.

For nearly half of the game, I was using Knight set chest piece with sometimes switching for lighter leg parts to stay under 70%. Later on realized that Silver Knight chest have pretty balanced and nice stats for its weight.

Which one armor sets or pieces have balanced stats and offers best protections for their weight?

Also ringed knight armor looks like it has some nice stats and it looks badass. So I would suggest going for that. You should buy dlcs they are fun.

Sadly, I dont have ringed city and since it wont go on sale ;_;

To be honest, I just feel better knowing that Im using weight to the limits of 70% rolls.

But when I want cosplay, I use sunless legs, dancer top and exile gloves with claymore/stormruler for Saber cosplay :3

DLC will never go for sale, only the base game will.
Just buy them. They are both fun imo.

Lapp's set is probably the best set for weight to defense.
If you have the stats for it, use the silver knight set.

What do you even mean by "balanced"?

Depends on what you're seeking to maximise, poise or defense. If you value both, Solaire's and Ornstein's chestpieces are the best itemized pieces in the game, relative to their weights. Alva's chestpiece is also way up there, and pretty fashionable. I'll post a few numbers.

Format (scores are out of 1000):
Item - Weight - Defense Score - Poise Score
Defense score gauges the combined Physical/Strike/Slash/Thrust absorption efficiency relative to the weight of the item. Poise score does the same for poise. Max score possible is 1000.

Some items with top tier combined scores:
Armor of the Sun - 8.6 - 666 - 894
Dragonslayer Armor - 13.8 - 617 - 942
Alva Armor - 9.0 - 705 - 832
Shadow Gauntlets - 1.3 - 652 - 576
Outrider Knight Gauntlets - 2.9 - 589 - 634
Sellsword Helm - 3.1 - 613 - 768
Black Iron Leggings - 9.5 - 560 - 960
Shadow Leggings - 2.3 - 880 - 621

It's all going to depend on your weight allowed (do you want fast roll or normal roll) and weapon (does it have poise frames or not). In general if you're going for normal roll and therefore have a lot of weight to spend, it's hard to go wrong with Lapp's set. Its poise is sufficient and defense exceptional. Fast roll can benefit from shadow set with brigand chestpiece.

It's actually a bit obnoxious, there's all these great looking medium armor sets, but if I'm normal rolling I'm typically so flush with weight I can throw on most of Lapp's, whereas fast rolling I feel starved for equip load.
