Game crashed, lost coiled sword fragment and titante slab

My game crashed a few seconds after I picked up the Titanite Slab from trading the Coiled Sword Fragment with Pickle Pee.

When I loaded the game back up I was standing on the trade spot and I didn't have the fragment or the slab in my inventory and nothing on the ground to pickup.

Sucks for you, nothing to do about it if you haven't got a recent backup save.

CE? I heard that if you go offline, get it, upgrade your weapon, then come back online, you'll be fine. I can't confirm this though, so do some searches if this interests you.

One slab isn't worth risking a ban, that's just terrible advice.
