Dark Souls 3 Season pass Family share issue
Hi, the issue addressed is not common, but still I want to inform others about it,
so that in the future if anyone needs answers alike they wont be like me going thru posts and posts but still not a hit.

TL;DR

So, my friend and I were sharing games, he got the DKS3 base game upon release, and I've given him the season pass as a gift, so that now we got one copy of the Deluxe version.

I've been sharing his base game+DLC since last Sept and had quite a lot of fun.
Later on I stopped playing due to work loads. Around FEB 28th or so, I wanted to do some PVP, and it turns out the DLC bundle are not detected by Steam client.

So I went to the Support team for answers, and it turns out the Publishers (Developers) change the DLC policy

"From Family-shareable to NON-Shareable." without notifications or so.

The sudden change causes all my save files blocked cause' I already played the DLC on every character. So, 180 hours are spent in vain and all those covenant level ? Gone.

I wrote to BANDAI Namco support team but not a word from them.

Any related questions are help needed feel free to come to me.

FAQ: Do I have the base game?
A: No, I dont own the base game or DLC on my account. It's all borrowed from my friend.

FAQ: Can you still play the base game?
A: Yes. But with new characters only, cause' the old ones are blocked due to this issue.

Nobody's going to care that you can't use the saves for the dlc you didn't pay for and now need to make new ones for the game you also didn't pay for.
Go buy the game+dlc and you can just use your saves.

So you want to be able to play a game you didn't pay for, is that it? Go to your friend's house and play it on his PC/Console/whatever or better yet, just buy the game.

Well that's fine the two above think that way, and that's a normal and instinctive viewpoint.

Yet, I am all for Sharing-is-better concept, and that concept is sth worth protecting IMO. And that's why I chose Steam over other platforms. STEAM allows you to share your library with 5 family members and 10 different devices, while PS digital downloads will enable you actually 2 copies can run at the same time.

Sharing is the trend. OR, at least the thing that matters to me.

Also, what really shocks me a lot is that, the policy change is abrupt and they make it region-restricted even though orginially it's supposed to be a shareable global version.

If you look up on the internet, there are actually price difference between these 2.
