For an average player you're slightly underleveled for that area, you also should level vigor or put on some clothes at least. Try the Flame Stoneplate Ring found in the Undead Settlement, too.

Right?! People always complain about getting oneshot but those usually end up being the ones that strip naked when starting the game for some asinine reason like narcissism, totally unaware of the hidden damage reduction that comes from wearing attire on all parts of one's body in DS3.

Im not new to the trilogy, im wearing the best armor i've found yet, the Fallen Knight Set, looks like ill have to level up my vigor, thakns for the tips

Fallen Knight set is a very good armor set for the Old Demon King fight, so... Yeah, get that Vigor up to at least 27.

Also demon king is very weak to dark so you may want to upgrade some deep weapon. But yeah, don't ignore vigor

Don't be afraid to run away behind those two mounds of bodies to heal and do a little range battle.

And if you have one, any of the black kjnight weapons eat through his health really quickly.

also, if you're using the bloodring, take that ring off, it's detrimental to your health by a ton

I killed him at around your level (blind) after 4 or 5 attempts. He didn't one shot me though, so maybe you should level up a bit more if he does too much damage. That said don't be greedy, keep your distance and wait for the right moment to strike and then retreat. A +5 bow can help dish out damage when you are forced to back up.

Use range weapons, it's a very melee oriented boss, also it's totally optionnal.

a good idea vs old daemon is longbow, run hold distance and spend all 99 arrows ( longbow + titanite ). there is chance of critical hit on head and you can interrupt the 2th phase meteor sorcery.
