Infusion on a quality build?

Hey folk,
Just about to enter the ringed city DLC which will be the last thing i have to do before I NG,
I'm currently using a Quality Build for my first play through, going for the 40 vig 40 stam 40 dex 40 str thing. although I'm not close to that I respeced to 35/35 str/dex with the knight and hunters ring to give me 40/40, got piss poor vig but did it to see which GS is best for a 40/40 build.
I'm using Black Knight Sword +5 and Wolf Knight Sword +5 two great swords that cannot be buffed nor infused. I've looked at Claymore, B.astard etc etc and cant see any benefits of infusion from other GS that help on a quality build, i read on the net that refined is the way to go but all the GS i attempt to refine actually lowers the AR?
This is why i stick to the two previously mentioned, they are both giving me 530 - 550 AR on my current stats - are there other GS I can use that I can buff/infuse to give me better AR??

Depends on the weapon, though refined should be the way to go for the black knight weapons.

Oh also some really good quality GS's are the hollow slayer and wolf knight GS.

With quality, there are only a few weapons that benefit from the refined infusion. You mostly want to stick with magical and boss weapons with quality.
In terms of great swords, The claymore is kind of alright, but the hollow slayer, wolf knight, black knight, and Gaels are better in every way with that build.

yeah i thought so, i ate the soul for the hollowslayer cause im a noob, ill give gaels a run after i do the DLC. NG ill change it up to a caster or start using UGS

Really? Always thought bk weapons couldn’t be infused, even the wiki says so.

May have the check, but I remember infusing one of the black knight weapons with a heavy gem, if not the ultra gs, however, I couldn't infuse the other black knight weapons.

...What? Refined is the go-to infusion for quality builds. If you're running a quality build and you're not concerned with PvP (or even if you are), refined is what you want if you can get it. You can buff your refined weapons with whatever element you need, whether it be for PvP or PvE.
