Patches Killed - any Changes to the DLC?

So, I have killed Patches on one of my characters for roleplaying purposes - now I'd like to know if this has any consequences on any DLC questlines.
I HAVEN'T PLAYED THE DLCS YET, SO AVOID SPOILERS, PLEASE. Because of a lore video I've seen quite a while back, I know he exists in some form or another in the Ringed City DLC. That is all I know.
If you can, please just tell me whether or not I should play the DLCs with this character now or if I should do them with another one where Patches still lives if I want to fully experience the DLCs' contents.

Well you can still do the ringed city DLC. Just you won't get the split leaf great sword or any cool armor that patches had.

Well, about the only consequence is that you won't be able to get his armor set that he gives you during his questline in the Ringed City. Other than that, if you don't care about the armor he gives you: there are no real consequences.

Are you sure? I don't know personally, but from the wiki: Strangely, if his true self is killed in Lothric, Lapp still appears in The Ringed City DLC. <-- DON'T read that OP.

Edit; just question for knoife and Chibi so is it just the armor and weapon not available, or does his dialogue change too? <-- DON'T read that either OP

Also, I'd like to add: What kind of dialogue would I miss? Is it relevant to lore and story?

Indeed, it is relevant to the lore and the story as a whole. It gives you some very interesting insight on Patches as a character and the Dark Souls universe in general

The undead can never truly die. Lapp ended up here.
