How to build Pontiff Knight’s Great Scythe?

I try everything with this damn weapon but every time it does ~240 damage on a perfect sweet spot R2, with regular R1s doing ~170 at most.

The most effective thing I can do is proccing frostbite with the WA, but frostbite is useless.
Is there something i’m missing or is this just a bad weapon?

As far as I know, scythes or mostly best for breaking gaurds and not much else. Corvian seems better to me.
You could try to go for style and build an icey character. Damage doesn't matter too much if you know what you're doing.

It's probably the worst Scythe tbh, the Great Scythe can at least be buffed and infused.

Yeah, it's the less edgy scythe
I'd use it but I fell in love with the Great Scythe and Friede's Scythe

It is, I just don't like the self bleed, but I have never used it on PvP

Self bleed really isn’t really a problem because you’ll probably kill them before filling up the bleed bar, and even if it is a problem you can carry red moss clumps.

Still IMO Corvian>Great>>>>>>>>>>>Friede’s>Pontiff Knight
