Best Chime/Talisman for Dark Magic

Hi,

i'm using a mainly melee character with 10 Int/25 FTH to be able to use Gnaws and Dark Blade.

Which non - DLC medium is the best for these stats and these spells?

Dark Blade is a magic spell, Gnaws is a miracle. Only crystal chime you may use for both at 18 INT and FTH (description).

Dark Blade is also a Miracle, maybe you confused with SOul Greatsword or such

Sunless talisman/caitha chime has highest spellbuff for dark spells iirc

OK, my fault. Still, buffs from miracles doesn't chance just because of a talisman or chime. So, the point is just about the damage cause by Gnawing. Only sunless talisman (0), white hair talisman (16), Caitha's chime (12) and crystal chime (18) have their requirement for intelligence.

->Catalysts that improve the effectivenes of dark miracles have no effect.

So the best catalyst for dark blade that adds the most dark dmg to your weapon with your current stats according to https://soulsplanner.com/darksouls3/weaponatk is Priests chime

for dorhys gnawing at your current stat level the best catalyst would be sunless talisman according to https://soulsplanner.com/darksouls3/spellatk

COuld the Bellvine Chime be viable due to the fast casting speed? as i only have 15 dex and wouldnt like to waste a ring slot for sage ring

Moreover will the added scaling from the sunless Talisman make a difference, as i ony have 10Int from which my Gnaw could also scale from

The choice you have to make is basically use sunless talisman to have poise and + damage if you want to trade with enemies or use bellvine for a faster casting animation and avoid getting hit at all costs because it interrupts you.

is it Viable? sure, anything is viable if you're patient enough, it doesen't matter if you end up using sunless or bellvine as both have pros and cons.

In the end you're still using dark miracles wich are regarded as some of the worst spells out there so no matter your choice you're still going to be less than optimal.

I don't feel them to be bad at all, but one of the most recognizable things about DS is that the opinions differ greatly amongst the players (srsly like in no other game)

Dark Blade is a buff like any other, but dark is good against many things, Gnaw is quite useful if the enemy isn't highly resistant to bleed and Vow of Silence criplles bosses like Aldritch completely, so for relatively low investment, they are quite ok to me.

Yet after a little testing i didn't felt like the bellvine tree was faster at all :/ so i sticked with the sunless one (more so as i dont use another twinkling titanite weapon)
