I surprised that you managed to get past spear of church, i didn't saw you after your second attempt, so you got another player, he was afk or what?
Nope he wasn't afk but I think he was like me, low stamina and using an espadon so i could dodge easily

Watch a no hit run if you really can't do it. I like to fight him with storyteller staff+ SS frozen weapon and fast roll. Shields work well too w/ good Stability

Great magic shield + Crest Shield = easy win

Ds1 and ds2 are easy too, people are just inpatient.
Albite a lot of the ganks by enemies pissed me off in ds2, but I think that's more on the annoying level than the difficult level.
They are, but they punish impatience more than this game does. And stamina conservation is more important, because this is roll souls simulator 90000000
I agree that DS1 n 2 punished deaths more than 3, and yeah stamina was slow, but the whole game was half the speed anyway.

DS3 is actually equally hard, and in fact it has the hardest bosses out of all 3 by far. DS1 n2 bosses were hardly ever as challenging as the areas

Anris straight sword+any 100% block shield (preferably greatshield), block block block, attack once or twice (depeding on time he stops btween attacks).
That should do it. Also, hes got like 3 attacks that arent fully blockable, so learn which those are and only dodge roll those.
And for gods sake, level up your endurance. Stamina is important for blocking and rolling alike.

Dark souls is not THAT hard..
Correction, Dark Souls 3 is not that hard. I took a brief glance at your library, saw no other souls games. I shall forgive your statement, but in my personal onion(and other people's), dark memes 3 is a game intended to draw a larger, more casual playerbase. It was hyped and advertised like mad, and while excellent, is not the murdering ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is ds1 and ds2.

Dark Souls 1 is casual compared to Dark souls 3.

Have you tried playing it recently? Just applying the lightning weapon buff on basically any weapon allows you to slaughter a lot of bosses. Rather than just being a slight damage buff it actually buffs it up a ton.

You can backstab any enemy that can be backstabbed with little effort. Even Dark Knights are easy to backstab and they are rather slow too.
The game has like a total of 2 hard bosses and those being Four Kings and Bed of Chaos. Mainly because they have some cheap features. Four Kings will have more than 1 boss around at time and even 3 if you take too long.
Bed of Chaos large swing can't really be dodged over so it could push you off the edge. But you can cheap this boss with bombs if you know where to stand and throw.

But things like Lightning spear with shield was godlike in Dark Souls. Shields being pretty OP stuff, as it could block stuff easily on even NG+.
Drake Sword allowed for easy time up until you found the spear btw. Yes, Drake sword is actually useful.
Pyromancy is actually powerful and before they nerfed Iron Skin that was used to steamroll bosses.

Dark Souls 2 was more cheap with it's bosses and when a boss was hard it was due to some imba strat it had. Like Royal Rat Authority, he show up with buddies that if they are not killed right away you will die 90% of the time.
There where still bosses that where fair but most where not. Not to mention the hitboxes where a bit off.
There is a good reason why the remake of DS2 lowered the enemy damage a lot in the starting area and on other places.

But for Dark Souls 3 almost ALL the enemies are fast. Bosses as well and even giant ones like Dark Eater Midir is pretty fast. Blocking can be done but only really with strong shields unlike DS1 where a Silver Shield or Black Knight shield worked like a charm.
The Dark Knights in DS3 actually pose a threat because they swing far faster this time around and hit pretty hard.

Also DS1 had 20 health potions. Mistakes could be made quite a lot with that amount. Not to mention if you had healing miracles. Oh and a 7+ Estus Flask healed 800 HP. Which would be more than half of the player health most of the time.

Oh and just for laughs

I can wear that on Level 9 without having fat roll. I can use a lot of other powerful weapons as well.
With 99 Humanity I get so much extra defense that low level players do tiny amount of damage on me.

As has been said if the path of the art of cheese you seek hiding behind walls and poison Gael will be at his end. Storytellers staff and myst spells go through walls. Sometimes if the world is right he will get that aless strapped bum stuck in such said wall too. There is also a a slight sandy edge where you may apply falling attacks.
Though second phase just run and kite him around such said large walls without poison will do to.
Also as had been said loosing some weight might help.

Good luck at the end of all things.
