Watchdogs of Farron

Hey guys, ive read up that this covenants "defend" invasion is best around 20-40... my character is currently 30 and the online matching tells me there are people in the farron woods, but im not invading them? ive waited a good part of 30 minutes and nothing? ive been invaded by a couple of reds so i know my online is working, i can see other peoples signs too... any tips on getting the swordglass?

You did equip the covenant item so that it searches for people to invade, right? (you have to join the covenant by talking to the wolf before you can equip it). Red eye orb and cracked red eyes won't give you the right invasions.

Yeah i have, the covenant is "searching/active" aswell... ive read up and aparently a year ago there was massive problems with farron invades... im just suprised i couldnt find a patch for it over the past year...

i was hoping it would of been patched or fixed so the invading works properly, i know aldrich faithful works constantly from my previous character....

there are a lot of people using that covenant, it's more or less like blue sentinels.

For farm swordglass go to keep ruins bonfire and kill the 3 ghru near the bonfire. Rest and repeat. Remember using mimic head, gold serpent ring, crystal sage rapier and coins.

watchdog has a specific invasion mechanic the host has to activate.
hint: take a dip.

I don't think it works that way; I know it doesn't work that way with Aldrich

it really doesn't.
you don't get summoned in as a watchdog unless the Host enters the Waters of Farron among the trees and the lillies as these are the graves of Watchdogs

optimal sl for watchdogs is sl22 +2, I have a sl35 +4 and can't get any watchdog invasions in the woods but I can get regular invasions like mad. the watchdog build i made at sl22 +2 gets frequent invasions for watchdogs.
