Good thing, poison status is complete garbage in this game.

You say that now but you havent seen them in ds1, they are relentless monsters... like slender man... but fat and mushroomy.

They're not in DS1. Not those purple capped poison shroom bugs. DS2 though.

Uhhhh.... i know ive had a few to drink but im positive the OP is talking about the cute mushroom people that drop gold pine resin, not the purple ants, those are def not cute.

To be fair. The "one punch" mushrooms are extinct til the ds1 remaster.

Blame miyazaki for killing them off.

Anyways, I will say the mushroom people look like a people I'd like to hug, if they weren't so protective of their privacy. And these purple poison spewing ones look like decent pillows.
