If I uninstall this game, will my saved data also be deleted?
I only want to delete this game for a temporary amount of time, because I know I will come back to it. When I reinstall it, will be saved data be gone?

No it will not because the savedata isn't saved in the same folder as the game.

Savedata is saved in yourname/appdata/roaming/dark souls III.

Yes it will

Then they did something wrong. The game does not delete your save by uninstalling.

Why not try it now? Copy your save folder and uninstall. It. will. not. delete. your. save.

Because I don't want to take the time to do it right now :)
Anyway, what did they do wrong?

PC format? Clearing out the appdata folder or just unused/old files? Maybe they thought the game had steam cloud but it doesn't?

The uninstall feature of Steam is designed to only clear out the steamapps folder of the program.

Edit: Actually, I may be wrong about the mods. It probably does delete the game folder after all. But I stand by the saves thing. :p

The uninstall feature of Steam is designed to only clear out the steamapps folder of the program, and even then any external mods used remain there (For example, total war games. Download a mod, uninstall the game, the folder remains with only the modded files).
hm yeah I have noticed that actually. So what you're really talking about is manually deleting the folder and then installing.
