Sirris... Did I screw up?

So, I had no idea about Sirris until after cathedral of the deep.

Here's the sequence of events I have done. Am I screwed?
1. Talked only once to Anri and Horace(sp?) on road to sacrifice.
2. Talked to Rosaria and got a covenant item, but never equipped the covenant.
3. Talked with Anri and Holdrick in Firelink Shrine, and they say they are off to the boreal valley.

Sirris is not showing up in Firelink, but maybe I need to progress further in Farron Keep for the dreamstealer ash or whatever it's called?

Am I screwed for sirris's quest? Is there any way to find her still? I am asking because it seems information is kinda vague. Not sure what constitutes joining a covenant.

She leaves Firelink Shrine and becomes hostile if the player gives Rosaria a Pale Tongue to increase her covenant's level and may leave if the player kills Company Captain Yorshka (as of regulation 1.05, simply changing your appearance or reallocating stats does not fail her questline). Thus you can join, tho I wouldn't risk wearing the covenant.

Have you given the Dreamchaser's ashes to the shrine maiden? If you did this and it still isn't working I've seen some mention she will appear after killing the demon on the bridge at the top of Farron Swamps above the Wolf covenant.

I killed yorshka and sirris didn't leave but I also got though the part where she needs help with the dude with the axe so maybe if you kill yorshka before doing that then she leaves or dies.

I am just starting Farron Keep. Just entered the swamp so I don't have the ashes to offer the shrine maiden yet. I have not done anything with Rosaria save for getting the covenant item from her. So Just the initial interaction. I have Roasaria's Fingers. So does that mean I offered a pale tongue? I looked at the rebirth menu, but said no. I didn't offer any tongues.

Sirris is not in Firelink, but I did see Anri there with the hushed guy.

I have not reached Anor Londo to kill Yorksha.

Go get the ashes I mentioned and give them to the shrine maiden. Try talking to Anri/Horace, too, and after you give the ashes reload the area (as in see a loading screen, not just rest at bonfire) and see if Sirris appears sitting in the central room on one of the steps like Hawkwood does.

Will do that tonight. Thank you! I've already talked with Anri and Horace and they've already moved on from firelink to go after the Boreal Valley. Hopefully the ashes will make her appear when I reload. Thanks again. I thought I was screwed (And still might be, but at least there's hope I didn't do everything wrong yet).

She appeared and told me I was a good person lol. Thanks for the advice Xengre. Now I will follow hers and Anri's quests a lot more carefully so I don't screw up. Thanks again!

No problem! You can do Ringfinger or wtf ever that dude with Triangle hat's name is way later in the game after 100% finishing everything with Sirris. Then you can do the rosaria stuff, too. Just a warning Sirris FREAKING SUCKS at fighting. Don't bother with her for boss fights and when you do Hodrick fights (where you invade her world to help fight) be ready to lay down the hurt because she will get wrecked if you don't. If you get REAAAALLY stuck use a heavy weapon and charge attack to knock them down like Lothric Knight Greatsword. Once they are down you can repeatedly time it just right to infinitely stun them if you truly get stuck. Warning Hodrick has a Blessing consumable which lets him fully recover HP once per fight and bypasses Estus disable from charm if you give him the chance to use it.

I hate to do this some years later, but all you have to do is give ONE tongue to Rosaria to ♥♥♥♥ up Sirris' quest line. ONE, you don't even have to rank up the covenant. This basically means, you can't do Leonhard's quest line without automatically ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up Sirris' quest line. This design choice would have made sense, if it were to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up if you ranked up the covenant, but because a singular tongue ♥♥♥♥♥ it up, it's by far the worst, and most stupid quest line Soulsborne has ever seen.

If you fail Sirris, you do Heysels. Your exxagaration makes less sense than a flat-earther.

There's a simple way to do both... 1st of all until you kill all the 4 lords keep doing only Sirris/Yuria quest (remember to summon her against the lothric brothers so you can obtain her armor and weapon later), it's not a problem since the other quests won't be affected in any way (while on contrary it's sufficient a SINGLE pale tongue to fail the Sirris quest) and can be done even after killing all the 4 lords
