I can't put the Coiled Sword into the Firelink bonfire NG+
I just started the game about a month back and finally got my character to NG+ and beat Gundyr again but when I went to Firelink to progess it doesn't give me the prompt to put the sword in the bonfire. I talked to the Firekeeper and I checked my inventory for the sword which is still there but I can't put it in. I have well over 40 hours on this character as well as it being my first character so I would rather not just delete it. If anyone knows whats going on it would be greatly appreciated if you could help explain how to fix it.

After a considerable amount of time I found out that the angle at which I was trying to plunge in the sword was slightly wrong, apparently only a specific portion of the bonfire can be used to do it. Consider this solved
