Is Morne's ring really useful?

I've always put the Morne ring on my faith builds, 12% might not be too much, but it definitely means about 80-100 damage per hit. However I was wondering how interesting this ring really is, and whether it's really worth equipping over other options.

Perhaps it's not so scary to hit for 800 instead of 900 damage, but that ring slot might be better used by something entirely different, I probably don't need that extra 100 damage and could run +20% stamina healing speed from Chlor+3, or maybe FAP +3, Life Ring +3, Knight slayer ring, a stat ring, basically anything other than 12% flat damage increase with miracles.

I would test it myself right now, but I recently reinstalled and don't have a faith build yet. I should be able to check it out myself soon, but it's always good to know if someone has already checked.

I usually use Red tearstone over morne's ring because i like how it works well with ToD on miracle builds. I usually swap to morion blade in right hand when the next hit looks like it'll proc rts and try to trade with something like sunlight spear. Sometimes 1 shots them if they don't have tears on.

Probably doesn't make much sense on its own, but if you're relying on miracles as a primary attack it might make sense stacked with the princess ring. I'm going off my experience with a pyro guy tho... the great swamp ring is the pyro equivalent to morne's ring. Not much good on its own, but stacked with the witch's ring and relevant clutch ring it starts making sense.

I can understand stacking morne's ring if you want to use Ring of suns first born and lightning clutch together with it. The damage boost is enormous.

Something like Red tearstone ring / Morne's ring / RoSFB / lightning clutch + Morion blade swap when low health in right hand / Talisman 60fth

^ That would do a ton of damage.

What I stated was that he should use Ring of Sun's Firstborn over Morne's. 12%<20%
If he were going to use one. Sometimes survivability is the best option though.
