there is no npc summon sign in front of vordt of boreal valley after embered

there is no npc summon even after i embered myself, only a yellow sign appears, and while i summon it, no one appears , telling me i have failed to summon due to time out, and there is no summon for me after that death even though i keep ember again and again, and i can't fight through the boss till now. anyone knows how to deal with this?

oh ya and btw, after finish talking to emma, i didn't get way of the blue covenant either

The npc sign outside Vordt only appears, if you killed the Swordmaster near Firelink Shrine before.
For Vordt you also can summon another NPC, go a bit back in direction to the Winged Knight, outside his room should be the npc sign.
No idea why Emma didn't give you the covenant. Talk to her again ?

Hm, I see you have beaten Vordt. Right now you summoned me in Undead Settlement in your game ( Siegward).
Sadly you got invaded by a twink with Cruzifix of Mad King and oneshot killed by a Dark Hand backstab.
I suggest to play offline or unembered through the next 2 areas, when you are new to the game. Take your time to explore all.

One more advice: never follow an invader, if he is running away to enemies. Stay at a safe place.
